  Exhibits change often at the Longmont Museum – cars, quilts, kimonos, and sugar skulls are just a sample of this year’s exhibits.

Japanese Kimonos: Traditional Motifs
May 24 – July 13, 2008

From May 24 to July 13, the Longmont Museum presents Japanese Kimonos: Traditional Motifs, with over 50 kimonos from the early 1800s to the present. Also on exhibit are more than 20 beautiful obi sashes, and kimono accessories and undergarments. The opening reception for Kimonos will be on Friday, May 23, at 7 pm. It’s a chance to wear your kimono and admire this remarkable Japanese art form.
