Permanent exhibitions

The Longmont Museum hosts several permanent exhibits about the history and culture of Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley.

Front Range Rising
Front Range Rising is the exhibit that the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center was built for! Opened in September 2007, it was made possible in part by support from the Friends of the Longmont Museum. From the first mammoth hunters who ranged into this area to today’s massive growth, Front Range Rising tells the stories of the many different peoples who have made this area their home. Funding from the Friends helped build the popular water interactive and other key elements in this engaging look at northern Colorado history.

Longs Peak Room
Visit the Longs Peak Room for the best view in Longmont! This hands-on gallery features games, books, costumes, and a wide-angle view from the snowcapped Rockies to the eastern plains. All this is waiting for you on the third floor of the Longmont Museum.

Special thanks to these Friends of the Longmont Museum Front Range Rising sponsors: Stuart & Cathy Barnes, Leon V. Mason, Dennis & Pat Yanchunas.
