• A percentage of your estate, a specified amount of cash, or a specific asset

Purpose of the bequest:
• Unrestricted: to be used by the Friends of the Longmont Museum for general purposes.
• Restricted: to be used by the Friends of the Longmont Museum to support a particular aspect of the work of the Longmont Museum. Suggested ideas include exhibits, educational programs, children’s programs, or the preservation of its historical collections.
• If the bequest is restricted, it may be wise to include an escape clause so that your bequest can be useful to the Friends of the Longmont Museum in the event circumstances have changed to the point that the original intent of your bequest cannot be fulfilled.
